I read something a while ago about the number of people in the US taking Prozac, Zoloft and other (I guess you’d call them) mood levellers, and as I read it I remembered the TV ad for Zoloft that accompanied its launch. It focused on the drug’s ability to make you feel more socially at ease, then went into the list of side effects.
Dry mouth, sexual disfunction, festering boils, flatulence, baldness, blindness and others (for the legal department, most of those are made up) that made me think, “Ya… you’ll feel better in public, but who’ll want to be around you?”
So I thought as I read the article that, for the benefit of those who do suffer from out-in-the-world anxiety but don’t want to be drugged in even-tempered blandness, I should send along this link to a book called “Prisoners Of Our Thoughts.”
If it sounds like something that could help you, give it a try and best of luck to you!
